What Is Stripping and Waxing?

Stripping and waxing is a deep floor care process that removes old layers of finish, dirt, and buildup, then applies a fresh protective wax. Over time, heavy foot traffic and daily cleaning wear down the finish on vinyl, VCT, linoleum, and other resilient flooring. Professional stripping and waxing floors in Fairfield County, CT brings back that clean, glossy look while adding a strong layer of protection.

Benefits of Stripping and Waxing Your Floors

• Improved Appearance – Freshly waxed floors shine, giving your commerical facility a polished, and professional look.

• Extended Floor Life – Protective wax prevents scratches, scuffs, and stains, saving you money on costly replacements.

• Safer Surfaces – A properly maintained floor is less slippery and reduces the risk of accidents.

• Healthier Environment – Stripping removes trapped dirt and bacteria, improving indoor air quality and overall cleanliness.

How Often Should Floors Be Stripped and Waxed?

Most commercial facilities benefit from stripping and waxing services once or twice a year, depending on traffic. High-traffic areas such as schools, medical offices, and retail stores may need more frequent care. Between services, buffing and re-coating can help maintain that like-new shine.
